I'm looking to purchase a 5k iMac and I want to use it with my current external monitors. I have two 24" 1900x1200 Dell monitors. Will the 5k work with this setup or can you only use 1 external monitor?

BTW, I am planning on upgrading to the 295 video card.

Here's the answer straight from Apple.

Short answer, you can connect 2 external monitors using Thunderbolt. One external 4k monitor is supported.

With the Retina iMac, you could go completely nuts and have the internal 5K display, an external 4K display, and a 2560x1440 display (such as the Apple Thunderbolt Display.)

And the external displays total pixel count combined would still be 2 megalpixels shy of the internal display!
