5s fingerprint scanner issues?

I've had a few issues on and off, where I needed a second or even third attempt for a print to be recognized.
Sometimes it works fine for several days, then it gives trouble repeatedly. I thought it was really sensitive to any skin damage, change or irregularity since scanning like some dry skin, tiny cut, wrinkling from long water exposure, ...

Yep... Mine is giving me trouble again today. Worked perfectly for almost 3 days and tonight it's only about 1 for 5. I shouldn't allow it to frustrate me so much but I think I'm going to disable it before I throw it across the room... Grr...

I have the same trouble with my new 6- sometimes works perfectly and sometimes not at all
