For those in NYC, I just checked and it seems that the 5th Ave Store will be selling Snow Leopard at midnight tonight. Forgive me if this had been posted already but I hadn't seen any word of it. I have to work late anyways so I think I will pick it up on my way home tonight.

I hope they last until Friday morning, because I can't pick up a copy 'till then.

Are people really camping out for an upgrade? I could understand maybe for a major release like Leopard or Tiger but Snow Leopard?

It's a new OS. Same as any other OS. Because you think that for it to be a new OS it has to have an entirely different name, don't camp out. Some people appreciate what Snow Leopard will do.

Yeah, I am definitely not camping out, just have to work really late and my office is around the corner.

Snow Leopard Installation

I was just at the 5th Ave. Store. Employees roped off an entire section and they installed Snow Leopard onto the Macs. I also checked with an Apple Store Employee and he showed me on the macs that the official Snow Leopard Release Build is 10A342.

That would be cool if I could go but im in NJ, don't wanna cross the gw bridge and I'll just get it tomorrow morning because Im tired:D

Are you serious? Thats bizarre.

Actually I suppose its not. NYC doesn't sleep I guess.
What store doesn't stay open 24/7 in NYC? ;) It's the city that never sleeps. There's definitely enough people living there to be employed 24/7.

It would be seriously sad if someone did camp out for SL. That would be one die hard Mac fanboy.

If I lived there I probably would.. instead I'm trolling the forums :)

Got my copy of SL just a while ago from 5th Ave store. Installing now, 27 min remaining. What's weird is I never chose an install type.
