three words for you: 3rd party accessories.

3 words for you: Big and Expensive.

Not like I'm raging for one, but it wouldn't be too bad to have one built-in.

i've been whining about the ipod not being able to have its own sound level for the sleep timer (so that alarm clock would be louder and wake me up). so that's definitely what I want as I always listen to music when going to bed/waking up.

another thing what might be cool is airport express on dock. it would boost up Express sales too..

my third idea is also a wireless remote as JFreak suggested. it would be cool to have the remote anywhere, because now you have to place it somewhere between the ear bud wire.. and because the wire is pretty long already, you'll end up having a stupid wire hanging and disturbing you all the time.

Can someone please explain why folks want an FM tuner on an iPod? Do you all listen to that much NPR?

1. Line in for recording.

2. Video out and MPEG-2 decoder: Is this possible? I can send and iDVD project to my iPod, connect iPod to the TV and view just like a DVD. We've eliminated one class of round silver discs, now let's get rid of DVDs. I know all about the capacity issues...

3. Touch screen: I'm not big into playlists these days. I usually shuffle my interior library. Many times an aritst or album comes up and I'd love to switch and hear just that--I wish I could just click on the artist name or album name with my finger and have it hyperlink to that item and then play from there.

Line in for recording. If minidisc can do it, so can apple. I'm not just talking voice recording, I'm talking music.

I totally agree about line-in recording. This is the only feature I think is missing. The minidisc market would be blown away. The iPod would be the must-have gadget for anyone in the music industry. And it fits in with Apple's focus on music (iPod/iTunes) and making music (GarageBand).
