Just my luck, my new ipad 4 arrived today, delayed by 3 days in the post and 6.1.3 comes out same day.

Just switched it on to find ios 6.0 installed, wanted to go up to 6.1.2 but I am unsure if it is still being signed.

has anybody restored today to 6.1.2, is it still being signed??

any help appreciated.

(Updated, I just went balls in and its updated to 6.1.2 IPSW fine so to answer my own question its being signed as of 17.56 GMT)

Give it a try before its too late.
If iTunes lets you restore to 6.1.2 then go for it.

i got this

iOS 6.1.3

This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
• Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the Phone app
• Improvements to Maps in Japan

You need to download the 6.1.2 manually and then shift/option restore with iTunes by selecting 6.1.2
It wont be allowed for too long so if anyone still wants to do a clean restore better hurry.

how can I do this please help

How long do they generally sign for after new updates are released. I probably won't have time to upgrade my wife's phone until tonight. I was going to leave her on 6.1.1 with JB, but she's been having weird wifi issues. Maybe 6.1.2 will fix it.

Lately they been closing the signing window fast.
Hope it will still be open till tonight for ya.

It was a close call for me, literally pulled up on the driveway and the courier was there waiting to deliver.

If I had missed it I would be on either 6.0 or 6.1.3

Luckily its signed still and I have just Jailbroken

Yeah when 6.1.2 dropped it was a really narrow window of time before 6.1 stopped being signed like max a coupla hours and even then it was spotty.

Thanks, well I am going to download the ipsw files now. She gets out of work at 7...so hopefully I can get her backed up and going by 8 or so.

Worse comes to worst she'll lose her JB. She hates not having SBSettings as do I.

I "think" you'll be ok. What I mean is, so long as you download the IPSW and then shift restore in iTunes directing it to 6.1.2, if its not being signed any more I don't think iTunes will instead auto-install 6.1.3. I think you just get an error and then you might have to hard reset or kick it out of recovery mode. So I don't think you'll automatically lose the jailbreak.

Someone, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't want to give false information and help him lose his jailbreak.

I'm getting the option to update to 6.1.3 but I dont want it via itunes.. What'd you do?
Go here and download the 6.1.2 firmware for your device.
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750

Then in iTunes option + click restore and it will let you navigate to the ispw file that you downloaded. Select the 6.1.2 ispw file and click OK. It will install the 6.1.2 firmware.

Hurry and do it before Apple stops signing 6.1.2.

Yep, if you're using a windows computer you need to hold down the shift button and click restore.
Option is for macs.
