So there's always the discussion about screens/protectors/scratches etc... I have used a screen protector on every iPhone I've owned and have just removed the one I fixed to my 6s Plus as I didn't like the quality.

I've seen scratch tests and read about real-world use. Some say they have scratched a screen and some say they've never scratched a screen.

Is it normally the coating that gets scratched and not the actual glass? and if so does anyone have real-world experience of those scratches disappearing over time as the coating disappears from use?
