The eBay seller says "Limit 5 per customer"
What more evidence do you need to know this is a con?
Don't even need to look at a fake pic or the negative feedback.
But, maybe these will work?
I have a Belkin cable that makes my iPhone unhappy sometimes with the message "this accessory not recognized".

It most likely is a con, but they work fine with my 6plus. If they stop working I will cross that bridge then.

I've been on ebay since 1998, usually if it looks hard to believe, don't believe it. Don't know if these are oem or not, there is no way to know apparently. As long as they work ok, no big deal, just be honest about what you sell..
so why does it take 5 min to recognize the iPhone 6? Why would Apple need a warning to hook up to their latest iPhone?

I plugged in my iPhone 6+ and it works without a problem. Doesn't take 5 minutes guys! but deal is over. I don't understand why people go all crazy! If it works awesome! If it doesn't its only $6.99 people! come on now!

For someone who has bought the cable, can I check if it is of the same thickness as the original? Does it also have a serial number printed somewhere along the cable?

My experience with "fake" cables is that there are much thinner, especially around the ends.

The cable I got off ebay was identical. But no serial on either it or my genuine cable.

Wow. Too bad I don't have the entrepreneur spirit because I can get exact same 'OEM' cables for $2/piece at some random electronic store in Hong Kong. Imagine how much it would be at bulk price, directly from a random factory.
And I'll even make people happy by selling them at $6.99.
Just kidding, but not really

my iPhone 6 Plus or any of my other iPhone cables don't say anything about "made by apple" or any wording whatsoever!

I tested all 5 cables I got and they work perfect.

iPad Air x
iPad Mini X
iPhone 5 x
iPhone 6 Plus

all working as soon as I plugin to the wall or my macbook pro. They look identical to the one I go with my iPhone 6 Plus.

Everyone else is loss my gain :)

Just because they work doesn't mean their genuine. Plus there is a danger to using those cheap cables: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Thir...ge-your-Apple-iPhone-5...and-kill-you_id57380
