Good afternoon.
Yesterday I received my MBP 16" M1 pro 1 Tb SSD refurbished. I have checked the battery cycles and it shows 6 cycles, this has surprised me since Apple advertises that its refurbished products are delivered with new batteries.
I have contacted support Apple technician, the first person who attended me told me that it did not seem normal and offered me the possibility of a replacement, later they put me in contact with another person from technical support and told me not to worry.
I honestly don't know what to do since I need the computer and I don't know whether to risk another replacement.
I would appreciate your opinion and help.

I would argue how much it really matters. Could have to do with testing or something but as long as the battery health is good then seems like a non issue. Laptop could die tomorrow or 15yrs from now regardless…

I believe it is only for iPhones and maybe iPads

Its a refurbished computer, obviously its been used at some point, but Apple does not say the computers get a new battery. Its only 6 cycles, I wouldn't worry, if it was like 300 cycles and only had 90% health left though... I would probably worry lol.

Batteries are like the lottery, you can get one that lasts 12 years, or 2 years. But 6 cycles is not going to make the difference

Enjoy your new Mac. There is no problem. Six cycles is no big deal.
