6 day old Mini won't boot! PLEASE HELP!

What do I do? I restarted, but I get same message. I had it for about 5 days, but yesterday I decided to put in the install discs and reinstall Leopard. Then, I just installed a trial copy of iWork. I shut down my Mini over night, woke up and boom, I get this message. I didn't install anything harmful. Since last night I probably only went to a few Mac and gaming sites, and that's it! I did some googling and I got really confusing responses about kernel and ram, when I haven't touched either. 😕

Does anyone have any suggestions? I really hope I don't have to send this back to Apple 🙁

That's called a kernel panic. They're bad... you might get Apple to call it DoA and get a new one... or just ignore it. I've had *counts on one hand* about 5 on my Macbook Pro so far... mostly due to Leopard 10.5.1 being a complete Piece on this machine... I ignored them and they eventually went away with the 10.5.2 upgrade. But I also knew it was leopard as Tiger never gave me KP's.

But I can't boot in! There's no way I can get into the OS, I just get stuck at the screen. Im on hold for Apple right now, wish me good luck.

Yep, my first Mac. Apple customer support tried a lot of things were me and were very nice, but unfortunately said that I can either 1) Try reinstalling Leopard in case its a software issue or 2) If its a hardware issue, take it to an Apple Store for the Genius Bar to check out. I just hope reinstalling Leopard works. My brother is constantly giving me a hard time now about my decision to buy a Mac.

I don't know if I sound like a bigot or a hypocrite or something, seeing as I'm typing this on a Hewlett-Pukeard laptop with Vista right now, but PLEASE don't listen to your brother! 😱

Awesome, it works now! A fresh install solved everything. Thanks for all the help guys! 😉 My brother is stuck with his Winblows while Im back on Leopard 😀
