I’ve twice provided some examples of what imo, I like the Apple Watch.

So because you don’t deem a feature useful we can just throw it out the door? That seems a bit biased.
I just looked back and you’ve not given an example that Garmin doesn’t have yet.

People keep saying this but seem unable to provide any actual examples of what’s better. I’ve never seen anyone use a feature on an Apple Watch that a Garmin doesn’t have. Cellular is an exception, but since every Apple Watch user always has an iPhone in their pocket it’s not really a useful addition.
I find cellular very useful since I don’t always have my iPhone and still can get calls, mail and messages.
I also stream from my watch in situations where I don’t want my iPhone, such as in a pool.
Just Press Record is useful for capturing toughts spontaneously or even conversations

With my Apple Watch I can start the climate control on my car, unlock the car, open the trunk etc. I can respond to authentication messages. ECG, fall detection, crash detection, customizable watch faces, etc.
It starts with cellular. Without cellular you will have no fall detection and so on…

oof... that sounds like a Watch that needs to be plugged in soon!

as a AWU 1st gen usr, this looks very tempting to me.
Since I have a sleeve I used twice a week to send my blood pressure data to doctor the notification that my blood pressure might be high does not seem a feature to give up my AWU1 oxygen sensor for which I like to have data from I might pass unless the AWU3 has other features of interest

Literally all available on Garmin, although your specific car maker might not have an app, but then some aren’t on the Apple Watch either.

Garmin does not have a native Tesla app is my point. Every Apple Watch since the s8 supports crash detection. Not every garmin watch supports crash detection. Duo authentication as an example is not natively supported on garmin smartwatches.

Some garmin functionality needs a smartphone to do what an Apple Watch can do without a smartphone. An Apple Watch with cellular or a WiFi connection does not need a cell phone.

If you want to claim that garmin acts like an Apple Watch even though a proxy is needed, it is not the same.

If you want to claim garmin has an elite fitness tracking system, I agree. But as a smart watch Apple Watch wins.

Yawwwwn… Apple doubling down on not having radical improvements in battery life with Series 10 model. We will have 18 hour battery life on our watches for the foreseeable future folks.

App availability isn’t a watch feature. I did find a Tesla app though. Garmin have a bigger range than Apple so yes you do need to choose a watch based on the features you want, not sure what your problem is with that, Apple do the exact same thing.
I can see you’ve decided Apple is the only option, and that’s fair enough. The feature you seem most keen on though is the logo, as you’re not being objective about the devices at all.

Yes it is:

sure on the iOS App Store for an iPhone.

Yes. Apple Watch has more apps than a garmin.

I see you’ve decided garmin is the only option and that’s great, pick your watch based on your needs. But be objective about the features and what each does best. That hadn’t been the case. Best to you.

No in the ConnectIQ store for Garmin. You clearly didn’t even bother to look at options outside Apple before telling everyone they aren’t as good. Next time keep your opinion to yourself until you actually look into the facts.

Sure but clearly you can’t control the Tesla without a native Tesla app.

there is no native Tesla app. Most of the third party ones in that store work, control the legacy model s and x circa 2016. Some rely on the api which is no longer free. So out of the bunch one was updated two years ago and I doubt any of those apps will be able to control any modern Tesla.

That’s was my point. Native apps.

Garmins store is joke. Not comparable. Do not compare that with the Apple Store. Stability. Precise measurements. Reliability. Connectivity (I can‘t even change the room without my phone and I will miss phone calls). Garmin is an option for having less battery charging. That’s all they have. Nothing more. And all the things are much worse.
My decision is to put the best watch at the charger. Everyday (even if it’s not needed) on the charger. When i leave the house i put it on and no need to worry about battery life even when running 3h+.

Ultra two already does that

It does, but with the S10 it also has the LTPO3, which uses less power, so Apple allows the display to update more regularly while in AOD mode, compared to the Ultra 2, which does not. You don't have a second hand on analog faces while in "AOD down" mode, for instance.

LTPO3 will bring those features👍🏻 I think the ultra2 will still be the watch to get when the 3 comes out…. But the latest and greatest is always the best. I can appreciate that.

I want the best watch out there with best accuracy and best connectivity. No one wants to carry a phone while exercising. No one wants the fake accuracy from a garmin watch. No one wants useless stats from fake accuracy.

And I am sure they will continue that path very successful.
Credit card is already sharpened. 😎

I have an Apple Watch 8 and since I do not have a lung problem, I use the oxygen sensing feature 3x a year as a novelty. But I could see being bugged to lose a feature in a newer item that was available before. I’ve always been curious, for the people that won’t buy a new Apple Watch if it doesn’t have oxygen sensor, do they have a lung or breathing issue that requires monitoring their oxygen levels or do they just not like not having a feature that they know was there before?

For me, I have severe Sleep Apnea. I kept having issues, and the doctors said to just keep trying. I was already on a Bi-Pap machine. Then I started watching my Apple Watches SPO2 reading. It kept showing very low averages for Oxygen at night. I would have AVERAGES of 88%, which means I was dropping way below that to average out to 88%. After showing that to my doctor, they gave in and did another study on me, and I would drop to levels under 88% for periods over an hour. At times, down to 82% and 80%. The same day they got the results, they ordered an Oxygen Concentrator to add to my Bi-Pap machine. I didn't listen to my watch when I was seeing heart data that didn't make sense. That almost didn't end well. So I listened to my watch with my Oxygen, and it was the best thing I could have done. Changed my life for the better.

I am a guy that typically buys the new Phone and Watch yearly and a new iPad whenever. All that said, I won't give up my Ultra2 until there is SPO2 support again, or it dies.
