Wow volume up for burst! That’s a very good example of ackward design of an app.
Actually you’ve always been able to use the Volume Up button to take single shots, I didn’t know you could hold it down for burst. I personally think it’s great design, as that button is right under your right index finger in Landscape mode, just like on a dedicated camera (punching at that white circle in the middle of the screen has never felt natural to me).

Yeah, I got that. But why? Were the remaining 2 tips sooo long they couldn’t be included here as well? What advertising was I missing that demanded I go to another page to finish the article? Just more clicks.
The article was free.

That’s what ads do. Make the articles free.

I’ll tell you what’s traumatizing. Buying a newspaper or magazine, paying money for it, AND STILL having ads! Oh the humanity!

Back in the days of the, by that time, new released "Fusion" feature in the camera, I've read somewhere that turning ON the "View outside the frame" would disable the Fusion machine. Was that truth? Is it still a thing nowadays?
yes it does turn off Deep Fusion

Is it just me but this article could have been written four to five years ago and still be accurate. Meaning the innovation of the phone has stalled.. maybe it’s a feature my upgrade from an iPhone 13 to a 16 is hardly noticeable.

I honestly still laugh at anyone claiming to be a serious photographer taking pictures with a phone. This is the photographer snob in me making comments, but anyone serious about photography should go get a real camera to do so. My R1 and R5 markII both create pictures that are leagues better than a phone camera. Heck, the sensors on those cameras are nearly 1/4 the size of the phone itself. It's all about sensor and photodiode sizing for quality. I will give the phone a win on convenience since it is in your pocket almost all the time where the camera body is dramatically larger and more difficult to carry since you need a backpack to carry the lenses and bodies ideally.

Most photos are shared on the social media🤮, so as long as it looks good on screen it's good enough. I use a phone camera when scouting locations for a photo shoot. Muy convenient.👍 I would never use an image shot from a phone for printouts. It's a waste of ink and paper, and it looks like rubbish no matter how much tweaking I do.

I only print photos taken with a DSLR, even point and shoot cameras images look bad when printed out. I only carry my DSLR when I know I will take pictures. I ain't hauling 30lbs+ in gear just for laughs.😬 Every time I go somewhere, the Missus say to bring my gear. You might take pictures. Might? Okay, but only the 50mm and camera--no flash, no zoom.😐

Yep, I do that too sometimes as well. I mostly use my phone camera to take pictures of switches, servers, things like that for work and delete them when I am finished. Most of the time I'm shooting running sports and use my 70-200 2.8 for the shots. I also carry my 24-105 f2.8 for team and casual shots, but you are right it is heavy and a burden to carry around. It's also a burden to lift a 7+ pound body and lens several thousand times a day at a track event that lasts 10-12 hours at a time. But the end results are well worth it.
