Does this apply if one already has an Apple Music subscription?

Do they tack on 6 months free or is it void because I'm already a member?

I had previously used a free 6 months from a previous Apple purchase, so when I registered my new Beats Fit Pro I didn't get the offer from Apple, so I had to settle for the 3 months for the price of one offer.
