Same here. Best introduction for a Product ever.

----------

As of now, 4S.

When I get my 5S, that might change.

iPhone 4, best phone ever. Designed by Steve when design mattered. 4s yes for speed ans Siri, but the original 4 is more than a phone, it was design magic.

I agree. There's something special about that iPhone 4. It was way ahead of its time.

Although later models are nice for their speed and new features, I think the 4 was the only one to recapture the "magic" of the original iPhone.

Very poor image quality. Did you shoot them with your iPhone 1?

But a nice collection.

No with my iPad2 ran out of phones to take the picture lol

Can't believe you've always gotten black. Switch it up a bit! :)

i have white ones too lol

Every once in a while I like to watch snippets from the original iPhone unveiling.... Very nostalgic. :)

me too have the keynote on my phone:)

Is that your collection??? You've lost SO MUCH MONEY in resales!! I always get the new iPhone and sell my previous for more than I paid for the upgrade.

But if he keeps it for much longer, the collector value of each piece more than makes up for it, and the collection value as a whole boosts it even more.

6 years went so fast but why is implenting new features so slow?

Um, it's not slow. It's measured, like Apple does.

I wouldn't be so sure. Some day, when these are all hard to find, who knows. Especially the ones from when Jobs was still alive.

The iPhone 5c is my favorite thus far, actually. The sleek thin profile of the iPhone 5 with beautiful colors and no cold, industrial metal.

unless it was Steve job's personal iphone, that he used and maybe signed, its not going to be worth anything as time goes one. its not like these phones were produced in limited quantities. old tech decreases in value fast and these were mass produced in millions. look at the iconic motorola flip phone...at most it ever sold for on ebay was $50. going for 15 right now

It might sound odd, but I really thought about this, and the 4S came out on top. More for the feature set than anything else...In the same way as the ipad3 was my favourite even though the 4 was the device it should have been.

Agreed. I used to think it was Apple trying to develop ways of doing simple tasks differently; to help keep the UI a breakaway from the competition, but iOS 7's "new" features are really just a rip and slight change from every other UI on the market now. So i don't know why they take so long for simple things.

Um, it's not slow. It's measured, like Apple does.

I agree, but only if you're talking about brand new features. Apple took almost two years to bring the iPhone up to par with the features of 8 year old PalmPilot devices.

We aren't talking about functionality that wasn't already present in a touch UI, but things that already had the code and the fluidity needed to be dropped into an iPhone.

Much of that was really because Apple didn't anticipate folks picking up the phone in droves, and then wanting to use it for more than just media consumption.

All in all, my favorite was the definitely the 3GS. Best feel in the hand overall, and the last one I had before moving on.

6 years did go fast. I have all the phones too. I normally pass them down for 1 year, and then I get them back as I pass on another one.

I always use 2 generations ago as an iPod.

I like the 4/4S too. The design was remarkable with the all glass, plus retina, all in the same year.

Nevertheless, I really liked the first generation iPhone too!

Still, the 5 is great feature-wise.

3G and 3GS were not my favorites, but hey they did work quite well and the 3GS gave us the tap to focus camera, which was a nice little step up. I hate the little cracks that would form around weak spots in the plastic though.

That's awesome. I would never give up any of those. I could only imagine how much the original or even the whole set would go for 20-30 years down the road.

If I had to rank them in order of my own personal preference and experience with each one it would be...

Original iPhone
iPhone 5s
iPhone 5c
iPhone 4S
iPhone 5
iPhone 4
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 3G

4, 5S, 5, 4S, 2G, 3GS, 3G (was on T-Mobile so never actually owned one... bought one for the heck of it at a Gamestop once (it had light scratches on the screen so they wouldn't take it, ended up buying it for 20 bucks from the guy LOL) it was nice, but basically just a plastic 2G (with 3G I couldn't use at the time) so it was never a big deal to me at least).

It IS tough to rate the 2G over the 3GS, but I'll be darned if that 2G didn't change everything about phones for me. I used to upgrade/change literally every 2-3 MONTHS. Now only when new iPhones come out. Silly, but it's changed that part of my life forever. No intentions of ever changing. Why would I when it works so well?

I also despise the 3GS a bit for bringing the masses to the iPhone. It used to be cool to own one. Now it's odd if you DON'T have one... Thanks 3GS. :p

If they were new in box and never used . . . a whole lot.

In 30 years one could dig up a landfill in a 3rd world country and find more than enough used iPhones.

Nice collection, remember the years watching the apple events and dreaming to get iphone one day :)

wow that is really a nice collection, I have everyone except the iphone 2g and 3g

I didnt start using the iphone until 3Gs and didnt realize how popular it became
