Seems to me as though Apple will probably permanently lower the iPad 4 to $399 in 6 months altogether.

I have never seen brand new generations (iPad 4) discounted across all the major retailers like this.

Apple is smart in responding to competetion.

how soon do you get an email with your order? I order 15 minutes ago, and I still havent received an email. I called the 800 number and punch in my order # and its says its not valid.....

Why on earth would they lower the price of the ipad 4?

Why on earth would they lower the price of the ipad 4?

Pretty simple.
1. Competition from Android (comparable Nexus 10 sells for $100 less)
2. iPad mini cannibilizes some of full size iPad 4 sales

Notice the iPod touch 5th generation has huge discounts also.

Apple doesn't discount unless they know their isn't much demand for these mature products.

Come on. Have you have ever seen a brand new iOS device launch and without 3-4 weeks get more than 10% discount off?

That's saying something.

And notice iPhone 5 and iPad mini aren't included in the Black Friday sales.

Look for a permanent $399 reduction in price in 6 months for iPad 4 with the iPad 2 being phased out.

nothing on my amex card. But looks like its going through. Got an email from bestbuy and also under my order status(bb.com) it shows up now.

I just bought my wife a new iPad 4 at Best Buy last Thursday for the regular price of $499. Do you think they will price adjust to the Black Friday price?

Looks like their in stock again.

No they won't. I would order one now and return the one you just bought when it comes in.

I don't think they will match bf price. If they don't price match I will return my 32gb and wait till I get this one o

Puzzles me as well but the 3rd gen is phased out so there was room to drop the price. I was at BB the other day and they must of had at least 100 of the iPad 4s in stock, no 3rd gens at all.

I thought the offer now is only for the 16gb not the 32kb.

Kind of crazy for them not to price match on the 16gb recently bought 4s though I know their policy. All it would do if they don't is have more folks return the 4 they recently bought and then Best Buy would have lots of open boxes to deal with.

Honestly because the ipad 4 is not selling well, at least compared to previous models (the introduction of the mini plays a huge role since its now another apple product going after the same sale at a cheaper price and a new design)
A redesigned ipad 5 with better specs battery will brings the sales back up this spring.

Hmm...decisions, decisions...

I could go to Best Buy and ask for a $60 price match on my 16GB...or...pony up and buy the 32GB....:D

:( Website says no price match on Black Friday Deals...32GB....

Holiday pricing is no indication that the 4 isn't selling well. Frankly, there has been no indication that it isn't doing anything but very well.

You have no idea how it is selling.

Yup, read that too. :( Don't know if I want to spend $150 for the 32GB.

I still have a bad taste ordering anything over $200 from this company though. I'm hoping it's all for the best. I've been burned by best buy "customer service" before. :apple:

It's okay, they make hardly any money selling apple products.
