Make no mistake about it, this will be the must have xmas gift his year. If 1 million are already sold, I can see 3-4 million sold in the US by the end of he year.

I was thinking about that and it seemed like it might be a reach-- the first million the first week was very impressive, but it had the wave of super hype. I just figured that hype might fizzle out... Then I realized, there are probably a good number of folks who are waiting for their current contracts to end before hopping on the iPhone-wagon.

I don't know much about numbers, I don't know much about cells or tech. But even I can see the crazy amount of excitement this little device has caused. And it really is also a word-of-mouth situation; as more and more people use it and see how easy it is to use, there are bound to be more folks who want and buy the iPhone.

I think you're right. I know several people who will buy in the next week or two after playing with my iPhone.
