one month old, no scratch, the guy asks for 600$ cash. I originally considered a 16GB wifi. Now this looks attractive. Should I go for it...? Debating...:confused:

If it looks good definately buy it. Do you know why he's selling It?

I wonder though if warranty is a problem without a receipt.

I would be reluctant as it is likely a scam.

Insist on pick-up, use a secure payment method and seek a refund ASAP if it ends up being a scam. Sometimes it can be better paying full price than risking it for a 'bargain'.

If it's a scam, there might be no refund.

Buy a new one. Get the 64GB 3G. All or nothing.

might not be a scam. maybe, maybe not.

I bought a 64GB wifi in april thinking i dont need 3G, I didnt even know how much i'd use it. after having it 3 weeks I am using it 90% of the time and my MBP lives in its bag. Soooo..... I decided to put the wifi up on CL and buy the 3G version. I was asking $550 because I wanted to make sure it sold quick and it was totally legit.

Meet in a public place, ask for the receipt (thats not unreasonable), and look it over and plug it into your computer before giving him any money.

BTW one person on here bought a wifi iPad on CL back around launch and it said "Demo only, not for resale" or something to that effect. it was on the back under the GB designation and since all Apple & BB demos have this as well, it was clearly stolen. keep an eye out for that, be informed, and dont let the cheap price seduce you into doing something you normally would not.

Go for it but verify receipt and serial number first!

It probably is legit. I just put my 64GB iPad on eBay and Craig's List for $600.00 local pick-up only. I figured $600 was a reasonable price where I am not trying to overcharge a potential buyer. I am only selling mine so I can get the 3G.

I love using the Verizon MiFi but I used all 5GB within 3 weeks so I need the unlimited data.

You guys need to think higher. These things are super hot right now. People are selling them for over list price. I sold my 64GB WiFi for 699.00. Had it on craigslist for 1 day. If you are willing to ship overseas you could even make $100 or more. Some people are so hot to get one that they don't want to wait for their local store to get them into stock and will buy a pristine used one now. After all, the things are only 1 month old and it's not there are any moving parts that are going to wear out in a month.

I got a 16wifi for $400 with the Apple case, all in boxes. And a 32gb 3G for $500. from original owners. Apple follows the serial # for warranty. I have never been asked for a sales receipt for tech support or repairs on my Macs, although I've had them. Are the portables different and need receipts?
I know stolen items can be logged and requires a police report.

No. We just think it's a good idea to get a receipt to prove it's not stolen.

The item itself will carry the warranty and doesn't need a receipt.
