My internet has been down all day at work so I have yet been unable to offer any suitably intellectual weight to any discussion. Having read the title of this one, I feel I am now ready to add the appropriate response of sophistication and distinction. Thus:

Who the XXXX needs 60 gigs of music?

Does anyone think we will ever see Bluetooth or some sort of wireless connectivity in the iPods? Would it be fast enough? I personally think it would be very handy, but maybe it's not for the masses.

There are Bluetooth heads sets already out, so I guess so. An iPod with bluetooth/wifi would be pretty fine if headsets and sterio interfaces are made available.

When will we see a 90GB iPod using this flash drive... http://www.m-systems.com/Content/Corporate/Press/prInfo.asp?id=624

Anyone know how much this drive costs?

Well, the iPod uses the Toshiba 1.8" drive and the Mini iPod uses the IBM...uhh...now Hitachi Micro Drive. Toshiba just released a fairly low capacity 0.85" drive at like 2 & 4GB...but it is bound to grow. (The Hitachi drive was just released in an embedded form factor and is expected to also increase in capacity in the next quarter...) I suspect that when Toshiba sells the 60GB en masse then we will see the 60GB iPod. Now, I wonder when/if we will ever see the mini-mini iPod based on that new drive?

Not so much as for music, but would be a great companion for my 12" PB...
