    Hi there,

Was wondering if anyone has heard of any new models possibly coming out in the next couple of months? Looking to buy a 32gb touch in the next week but would rather wait if it looks like a 60gb etc. may come out soon.

    Thanks!

It would be 64GB, and we've heard nothing. Buy whenever you want.

    Yea.
    What he Said.
but wont a 64gb be outrageously overpriced?
after all, it is a SSD (Solid State Drive) system.
32gb ssds are about a some hundred bucks.
maybe 64gb touches are some where about the price of a 1st gen touch. $499.

The iPod touch does not use an SSD. It uses NAND Flash memory which is quite different. The iPod touch uses 2 chips for it's memory and 32 GB chips are either being produced or will soon be set into production. When Apple will incorporate them is anyone's guess, so it all depends how long you are willing to wait.

Hmmm I really wanted to get 2G as well like since it came out but I thought Apple will update the Capacity by end of Feb 2009... Since we aren't hearing anything I am hopeless... I want to get the 32GB once 64GB comes out cause I was also assuming that Apple will drop the 8GB one and replace current pricing system for 16GB 32GB and 64GB ipod touch 2Gs....

I really hope so... COME ON APPLE!!!
