I need some educated ideas as to when you think we can truly expect Native Copy/Paste and MMS updates.

I figured they would've been here with 2.0, but here we are, months later still having to write down and transcribe our passwords and login ID for View My Message!

i wouldn't hold my breath for either

unless there is some change in the market to cause Apple to fast track them they will be dragging their feet, especially on MMS, if not nothing else it will be an ego thing for Jobs who has stated that MMS is a dated technology.

ATT sucks, they could at least work on the view my pics site, it's a disgrace. What do these companies do all day besides collect money?

Wow... you guys are fast. I didn't realize the post went public before my poll did!

Poll's up!

I really dont want that mms crap on my phone. If they add it, it better be something optional from the app store.

Copy and paste cant come soon enough though, this is the biggest thing missing from the iPhone right now. I hope it gets added with 2.3.

Copy/Paste - whenever they get around to it. (It's a low priority for the iPhone team.)

MMS - never. They're counting on e-mail to supplant it. (And given the increasing number of smart phones with excellent e-mail support, I'd say it might well do so in a couple years.)

never

You left out "never" as a choice. Consumers won't pay enough for MMS to be profitable. Apple & AT&T are not charities.

You want MMS bad enough? Easy solution. Buy a second phone and carry two. Oh, you don't want it that bad! Go cry somewhere else.

Cut & paste only when they figure out a way that's as cool and sell-able as multi-touch pan and zoom. Why go backwards?

You do realize that SMS and MMS are two of the most profitable services for mobile phone providers, right?

Profitable until the channel saturates. Then any addition infrastructure required will have major costs. They are putting that investment into data bandwidth instead.
