So some of you may remember this thread of mine I posted on Wednesday where I explained that my iPod's screen shattered.
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/612746/

Well yesterday I went into the Apple Store and the guy at the Genius Bar said, "well this isn't covered by the warranty but I think we can make a special excpetion and replace it."
He went to the back and got a white box, I think that the replacement iPhone's come in this too, and took a shiny 16GB 2G iPod touch out of the box.
He told me it's a refurb but looks brand new!
And usually they make you pay $149 to get it replaced.
This made me so happy!
I <3 :apple:

EDIT: Here is the right link.

Honestly, was it necessary to make a new thread? It's not as if your other topic had died or anything...

Nice work iParis.

What did you say to him/her? They arent usually that nice. :apple:

I gave the Genius a sob story.
Well, kinda.
I kept referring to my iPod as "her."
Like, "the second I opened her I put her in a case."
Or, "right after I saw the cracked screen I called AppleCare."
I guess that showed how much I cared for her.
I also told him that my iPod is basically my laptop replacement and showed/told him how often I use her.

Then I also think it helped that back in October when I bought her the manager was there and I talked Apple with him for awhile then he offered me a job, unfortunately I'm not 18.
Yesterday the manager was there and I talked to him for a few minutes before seeing the Genius so maybe he thought I was friends with him, well I sort of am.
