I'll be very interested to read your honest opinions once your Plus arrives. The 6 Plus is considerably bigger than the G3, which to be honest is practically regular iPhone 6 sized.

2mm of thickness won't make that big of difference when your stretching across bezels. :p

Bigger in height not in width. It's smaller in width which makes it more manageable.

My Spigen 5.5" case is exactly the same length as my checkbook, if that helps.

YES! I was imagining from many accounts, iPhone 6 Plus is longer than a checkbook. Thanks.

I do not want to go to Best Buy just to test it. *Or hold a Samsung device lol*

It's incredibly amazing how hypocrisy reigns supreme in Appleland, last year this time the iPhone lovers were raging at the mere thought of a large screen, spewing hate at Samsung.

Now the worshipers are making up all kinds of reasons to justify the plus model. Buying them up like they'll starve without theirs. Ah yes, the power Apple has over their minions... :)

Shut up. Not all of us were doing that. I've been wanting a larger screen for some time. Take your self-indulgent, juvenile crap-spewing elsewhere. I await your obligatory trollish response.

That is why, I caved in to an iPhablet. It will be easier to hold one for a long time or manage with one hand vs. among the ones already in the market. I cannot wait anymore.

I just need pants with deeper pockets!

I'm 6'2 with large-ish hands and the cutout mockup made it instantly clear that the 6+ would be a massive pain in the backside. It's not just texting, it's the whole screen experience. If you have to utilise the reachability gimmick, I submit you have a phone too big to use conveniently.

That was my decision, anyway. I'd take portability and ease of use over a large but inconvenient screen size any day. 4.7 inches is still a good size. Bigger is not better, in my opinion of course.

Well worshipers from the others are on MacRumors complaining.

:apple: It's POWER over the fans of others.

Needs banana for scale, sorry.

This....I have the G3 and it's smaller than any other 5.5" phone ever. You can't even compare the Note 3 because the I+ is taller than that as well. I may end up returning because front pocket carry will be a problem.

look at your picture. look at where the top of the g3's screen ends and compare that with the iphone 6 plus's. it's the same. so if the g3's screen is fine, then so will the 6 plus's.

im with you OP. Luckily I have huge hands (6'5 220 lbs) and palm a basketball with ease so the 6 plus should be no problem for me. i understand people's slight towards the plus if your hands arent big enough to handle it- i get it. But teres no reason to have some superiority complex just because someone else can comfortably use the device that you cant. just get whatever suits you. period.

Currently on my 5s and can't imagine a phone that's almost 50% bigger. Lots of happy 6+ people tomorrow but will also be a lot of what the heck did I do 6+ people.

Yes, the G3 is not as tall. But when we are talking about actual USAGE, we must take into account that ultimately anything from the top edge of the screen on upward is irrelevant and has no impact on functionality, ONLY portability and how it fits into the pocket.

Since this thread is about one handed texting and reaching the top corners, we can ignore the top bezel, that can be discussed in another thread as this one is not talking about portability.

Now when we compare the two phones, we see that the iPhone 6 Plus has more usable screen due to the navigation buttons. You can see more in a web article, more tweets, more messages, email, etc. When watching videos they automatically hide. So normal day to day apps, you see more on the iPhone. Notice where the navigation buttons stop (estimated as the home screen does not have the nav buttons encompassed in black).

Now what is important is where the top of the edge lies. The top edge of the iPhone is only a tad bit higher than on the G3. Barely higher at all. And really everything above that top edge is pointless in a conversation about usability.

But, but, but the jealous Phandroids on an endless pissing contest on this site will say their useless specs, busy blinking screens and old extra features with with no infrastructures or not integrated well / fluidly / perfectly with OS etc are still better ... because no matter what, they GOT IT FIRST. :D Enjoy what you got, stay in your Phandroidland. :p

Knowing that that phone is 5.5"... you have some bigger than average hands.

Weight (without a full body pic) isn't a good indication of anything though. My friend is 250 pounds and is only like 5'8" (no, he is not a bodybuilder lol).
