That's more like the deal I got ($250 for the $399 8GB iPhone in April). I'd be all over that if I wasn't for them only being up to 16GB.

This deeper discount could be a sign that a 32GB iPhone will hit stores in early 2009. I know these are refurbs, but you'd think they would sell enough at $149 for 8GB to move normally.

I just got off the phone with att and they said that I am unable to upgrade my original 4gb iphone to the new Iphone online and that the only way to upgrade if you are an existing customer is to go into the store. But if you go into the store you are unable to receive a refurb. Has anyone else ran into this issue, and if so were you able to get it resolved?

Yes, you can. I just upgraded my wife's 1st gen 4GB iPhone to a white refurb 3G online. Log in to your AT&T account and select "Upgrade Options" on the right side of the page. Select Apple on the manufacturers list and both the new and refurb units will show up...

How much would it cost if i get a refurb 8gb and then cancel it? Will it be allow im using T-mobile and want a iphone. Any help will be appreciate.

I don't know why it doesn't work for me, but that is what I did before I contacted att and tried it again after you made this post. When I click on apple it shows nothing for me. For some reason I am unable to upgrade to an iphone online.

^ that sucks...when is AT&T going to realize that they need to start treating the customers they do have with perks, rather than screwing them over.

This is a great deal. I'm tempted but I guess I'm going to hold out for a few more weeks and see if a 32 GB model is announced.

can anyone tell me how much it would cost if i buy a refurbuish 3g and then cancel it.
