ATT Refurb iPhones!

The first set of prices is for new iPhones and the second is for refurbs. The new iPhones did not drop in price. The $99/$199 refurb prices are for new subscribers only...
No you can upgrade (if you're not eligible for one) for $199 for an 8gb refurb'd iPhone 3G. I suppose the $50 off is, as I've guessed, not for their current customers... (actually $100 off.)
When everybody else does. This is one of my major pet peeves with any similar industry. Why do new customers to DirecTV or Dish Network get some fancy new HD receiver but a 10-year customer has to pay full price? All that does is give you a lot of customer churn and not much loyalty.
Same goes with phone companies. I've had an AT&T/Cingular cell phone for about five years, yet everybody who jumped on with the iPhone bandwagon get the same deals I do. Why not cut 50 cents/month off my bill for every 5 years? It's not much, but it at least would say "thanks" to me.
I just bought one, New Customer to AT&T, great timing because the contract with my old cell phone service runs out the 3rd! lol, I was wondering thou since i buying the iphone online do i activate it when i get? Whats the steps to do that if anyone knows, or does AT&T activate it before they ship it? thanks!
So, what about all the people who paid full price for an iPhone, exchanged it due to a defect, and received a refurb? Shouldn't there be some type of credit given?
That's a good question. Does AT&T also replace your new iPhones with refurbished ones? I only know Apple that does that, or even get it replaced with new ones I've heard.
But I doubt the credit...
I purchased 2 of the 8gb 3g refurbs when I added my 2 sisters onto my plan.
They both came in yesterday, one worked just fine. The other had a issue with the home button, it would work once every 7-8 pushes or if it was held down.
I went upto the apple store near me, told them its a refurb that was purchased through AT&T...the tech took a look at it, deemed it still faulty and got me another refurb as a replacement from the apple store.

They fixed the Premier site last night (remove the $50 discount). Now it only shows the $199/$299 price for an iPhone 3G refurb upgrade. On Sunday and Monday I saw the same pricing you reported of $149/$199 on Premier.
The also fixed the Blue $50 discount "Sun" to be $100 to reduce the confusion the everyone was wanting the 8 GB for $49. It was picked and reported incorrrectly by several internet sites.

You have to wait a minimum of 3 days and then you can cancel and pay the ETF + Activation Fee + voice / data service. The ETF is $175.

I got my refurb'd iPhone today
Really nice!!! Loved it! Although FedEx just dumped it on my front lawn, near the door, didn't even knock... WTF?
It comes with 2.1. So maybe I'll wait to see if the soft unlock works.
I was about to ask what firmware! GOOOOOOD STUFFS!
