The biggest freaking mistake i made was putting 3 years worth of iPhone photos into my phone.
TURNS OUT I NEVER GO BACK TO THEM... but that was becaause i was on a 64GB iPhone before [the 6s Plus]0
Now that they kinda axed the 128GB which sucked but oh well. Given 32>128 was +150AUD and 128>256 was +150AUD [300aud]... vs 64>256 at 250aud i was willing to take the plunge.
I just bought 256GB this year because I am planning to keep my phone for at least another 4-5 years so I might as well buy the 256GB extras for the added convenience. Doubt the newer upgrades year after year would be major game changing to ditch the X for it it doesn't make sense especially with the phone at this price range...The A11 is heck of a microchip with amazing performance, the camera is quite amazing already getting some oohs and wows from random strangers when i show them photos. Pictures look great in terms of dynamic range for me already without much editing at all and I'm happy with them.
Edit: also iCloud photo library kinda sucks now they made it inherently worse so I'm just going to revert back to iTunes sync + dropbox backup to pull out all the photos from the iPhone to my PC
sometimes i wanna show my photographic works from my dslr into the iPhone and icloud photo library is a pain in the ass to sync full sized images as it always crashes [using the website version].

I had the idea they would be clunky from a MKBHD video weeks ago when I was on the Note. When I got the X, I started enjoying them more. The swipe between apps is tremendous.
I love the iPhone X, marriage of iPhone 8 Plus screen into an iPhone 8 form factor bringing the best of both worlds.
Also the adaptation for me to use the new gestures took me less than 15 minutes. It's really simple rather than what the media "tends to say" to make it look like it's going to be a "hurdle"... -_-
