Minimum, at least. With my current predicament I'd certainly appreciate the eight hard drive bays! lol
6 slots per CPU is the limit in the DP boards for Gainestown/Xeon 5500 Series.Needs more ram slots. Cuz if there is more the happier i will bei would want something like 32 gigs in larger amounts of memory spread it around a bit and see what happens xD

You can go with larger DIMM's, but I certainly don't want to see the cost.![]()

(Too scared to look, but the 4GB DIMM's are already available. Check out Crucial. DDR3 ECC Unbuffered).![]()
They've already done it, but it's not slow. It's called Beckton. Then put more processors that will solve all the problems then they would get confused and the computer would be un-gawdly slow...
A 6-slot DDR3 riser would need 1,440 pins on the connector. I don't think the whole multi-slot riser thing is really going to be done with DDR3.

Well, then, how will they fit everything into the case?
Unless they make it... *gasp* LONGER! So the darn thing doesn't look like a tiny square!![]()
wow lots of jargon
i only understood bits and pieces
The only thing you really need to get out of this is that Nehalem will telekinetically knock the socks off of every other processor.
You are a man obsessed!
Yes. I'm not sure what I will do if Apple fails us...
Though there is a clock tower at my university...![]()
I'm not saying that this is actually what the new Mac Pro looks like but sort of a concept? I got kinda bored...
12 memory slots on 3 risers
8 internal hard drive slots
1 optical drive (kinda like the older G5's)
Pretty bad clock speed, though, eh?Though there is a clock tower at my university...![]()

How, exactly, would I gain access to the upper row of disks?![]()
