64bit?

I'm new to Mac, with a Macbook Pro, and I was wondering if I should go for 64bit for my Snow Leopard Upgrade Disc?

What advantages/ disadvantages will there be?

Just install SL. It will support whatever 64-bit apps come along. You won't need to choose a version, it'll just work.

This isn't Windows. There's no separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions. There's one version which is simultaneously 32-bit and 64-bit.

Thanks guys. My uncle who just got an iMac told me to install the 64 bit version, so I'll have to tell him too.
