He didn't say rare, he said "most rare".... which is completely proper grammar for the question. I guarantee that apple doesn't manufacture the exact same amounts of 16GB 32GB and 64GB units. He wants to know which of these are the most rare. Or which of these unit there are the least amount of.

They dont produce as many because there isn't nearly as much demand. His use of rare implies a limited source. If there were more demand, more would be made, no question.

Rare while grammatically correct is not the best term in that situation.

The internet. Where I learn more about grammar than I did while in college.

Honestly I think the original poster meant that the Black 64GB are the most rare because many of us who ordered them still have not been charged or received tracking info on them.

Man you all are just weirdly not nice! You understood the question but took time to berate it just for fun? I'm glad I'm an emotionally developed adult and don't take it so personally. I never understood the reports of teenagers having increased suicide due to cyber bullying but I can see why if this is the response to such a basic, non confrontational question!

yes. i tried to preorder the 64GB through Radio Shack and they aren't doing preorders for that model because they sell so few of them.
Best Buy also said that they sell very few 64GB iPhones. (though they did take my preorder for one.)

Somewhat different than my camping experience where the 64gb ATT has run out first for both iPad and iPhone

Yeh this place is full of hate, spite and people that want to argue just to argue. It's all about proving they are right or pwning someone.

That's why most normal people only really hang out here during a product release or an event.

Everything else between should just == wasteland

Lol! Normal people hangout here during a product release so true.

I order 64gb att iphone and no movement at all. So either a lot of people order it or Apple make less 64gb iphone. I just dont understand that16gb is the most purchase phone. When you are paying the carrier over $2000 for the life of your contract. Dont you rather have the biggest flash memory. And apps these days, are getting bigger in sizes. Compare to the days of the 3GS iphone.

Megapixel of the camera esp the panorama need a lot of disk space. Thank God for itunes match you dont need to put your whole library on your iphone. And spotify too. So some might argue 32gb is enough.

It all comes down to supply of parts. If 64gb chips are low yield, means less phones. Most people don't use that much space though, they go for the entry level iPhones.

Ordered my 64gb

I used some logic thinking that the most popular iPhone 5 to be sold would be the 16gb then the 32gb and then the 64gb. I have the money to get the 64gb so I went ahead and ordered mine at exactly 2:05am (CST). But instead of doing the transaction on my iMac via Safari, I knew that purchasing it using the Apple Store App for my iPhone/iPad would be the best way since everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, would be ordering through their website. I can't wait to get mine this Friday. :) :apple:

My Black 64GB Verizon iPhone just switched to "Preparing for Shipment" - was on pins and needles, as it said "Processing" until a few minutes ago. Hooray!

My network provider here in the UK (t-mobile) said that my 32GB was not a popular model so I should get it nice and early. So I took that information with a pinch of salt.
