iPod touch 64GB iPod Touch on its way?

I think we'll see storage bumps, a microphone, 802.11n (I know it's useless for mobile devices but I think apple will put N in both the touch and iPhone to spur sales), and probably a slight redesign of the case to bring it inline with whatever they do to the iPhone.

My guess is they'll change the wraparound steel for wraparound aluminum casing, since that seems to be the direction Apple is heading with all it's products. We'd likely see black and silver variants, like the classic, although Apple may reserve the black as the "premium" option.

I also think that if Apple can get out a 64GB iPod touch, they'll axe the classic completely.

I highly doubt the classic will be killed this year. Think about it. Now that iTunes rips CD's in 256Kbs and most songs in the iTunes store will be 256Kbs, the songs take up more space. This is going to make Apple release a 240GB or 250GB iPod classic so that they can advertise it as being able to hold the same amount of songs as the 120GB iPod classic. When Apple advertises how many songs an iPod can hold they base it off of 128Kbs, now they have to do it off of 256Kbs.

Really? Now that there are 32gb chips? With the iPhone having one memory slot and iPod Touch having two slots- the higher memory versions will be out in June( 3rd gen iPhone 32gb $400 w/ contract ) and September( iPod- I look for a $500 64gb Touch ). That's my theory.
