New Zealand Avatar/Signature Blackout Protest

Hello fellow MacRumors members, as you know we tend to have a little fun and start silly avatar games. This time it is no game and we purposely want everyone to join in with the fight. We have blackened out our avatars to show support for our friends in New Zealand who on Febuary 28 might have to deal with the toughest copyright law ever known.
protest against the Guilt Upon Accusation law 'Section 92A' that calls for internet disconnection based on accusations of copyright infringement without a trial and without any evidence held up to court scrutiny. This is due to come into effect on February 28th unless immediate action is taken by the National Party.

The plan is simple, just darken your avatar to a black square to help protest the new law. Who knows someday a law this strict might come to a country near you.

As MacNut said, quite a few of us Demis are participating in this. You can darken your avatar, change your sigature or just spread the word about this.

Please do not turn this into a debate, or else it will end up in the PRSI.
 
Only demi's so far :p.

I have seen one non demi with a blacked out tar out there but it seems the uptake out here is a little slow. :(

My fractal will too once I apply a mainly black color scheme to the original fractal and upload the new pic. I might put up a new one because I don't have the original coordinates of the picture I used for my avatar.
 
I just turned down the brightness and upped the contrast ... but your layer idea will work too.

-100% Saturate & -85% Lightness

I like that you have it as your profile picture though. :D

You can always have it as a signature / location based protest as well. In fact I might edit the title a bit so that others can feel involved too.
