Brien macrumors 68040 Aug 11, 2008 3,852 1,417 Mar 2, 2009 #3 They're supposedly better, but I haven't heard them side by side to really compare, but I can say that both the 17" and 15" sound much better than they used to (IMO).

J jmark macrumors member Jan 5, 2006 45 0 Mar 2, 2009 #5 I'd say the speakers on the 17 are noticeably better than those on the 15. The bass seems to go lower, and they play a bit louder.

A AR15MBP macrumors 6502 Jan 6, 2009 254 5 USA Mar 2, 2009 #6 The 17" has 5 speakers, whereas the 15" has 3. 17" 15" Hard to tell on the 15", but there is 2 speakers and a sub. 17" has 4 and 1, respectively. No clue on the quality of the speakers, but the 15" speakers are the best I've had on a notebook.
