Well since I have a gopro hero 3 black edition (sports camera the records at ridiculous qualities) I currently go to my brothers to upload videos on his 2011 27" iMac all decked out with i7 and the rest of the goods. 10 minute videos upload in less the 2 to 3 minutes, on the other hand my mom has a 2011 21.5 base model i5. I uploaded the same video on each computer but the 21.5 i5 took an hour and a half to upload! No joke! It's a 2011 iMac and its struggling to get these viedos to me. Now talisabt has the right idea, why get something that is barely a standard on such a big purchase? My moms computer is already out of date and super slow, I'd rather go big and save money in the long run and save like my brother who's computer still handles everything like a beast! I don't want to get something and 2-3 years down the line say "man I should have upgraded to that" it's a personal choice, and I don't expect you to agree with it. But that's just my logic, ESPECIALLY on apple products, cause man it is tough keeping up with them! Unless your very wheathy and like following apples every upgrade they come out with, this is how I roll to stay current as long as possible. This is a solid thread, love everyone's input.
