I keep my desktop pretty clear. Nothing there but my HD and my Boot Camp Partition.

Yet, when I see the options for what to backup with Mozy, it shows that there is 686 MB's of NOTHING on my desktop. This is confirmed by "get info" on the desktop in finder.

I don't think it used to be like this. Before today I was pretty sure that when I cleaned off the desktpop it would show as empty.

686 Mb's is not nothing, but it's not too big a deal. However, I am very confused. Anyone know what this could be and how to fix it?

You might take a look at your Desktop folder in Terminal. Any file or folder that starts with a period will be "hidden" when you look at the folder in Finder.
