Does anyone know if the new MBPs can take 6GB of RAM, or do they require matched modules?

They can take 6gb, and don't require matched RAM, however, you'll only get dual channel RAM (which will give you a small speed bump) if you use matched pairs.

They support up to 8GB and as ryan said, 6GB will work fine too

Thanks. How much is a "small speed bump"?

You get more speed for 2x2 than 1x2 and 1x4. :)
