While true, they don't advertise the RAM so they'll need at least one defining feature as in the past (Siri, TouchID, etc.). Sapphire can easily fit this bill. If not, something else.

Yeap, you're right, I did not consider it. from your point of view expecting another new feature definitely makes sense. :D

Disagree with this. With every 'S' upgrade we've gotten new technology that's very substantial. E.g. Siri and Touch ID. IMO they implement these radical new features with the 'S' models to justify the lack of aesthetic hardware changes (aside from colour of course). My money's still on Sapphire and Force Touch. I also love the idea of revamped Beats driven earphones maybe with some extra 'wearable technology' functions? Sensors of some kind? Just guessing really...

they have purchased Beats Audio lately, so do we expect any upgrade in audio quality? I would choose it instead of sapphire or force touch. :)

That's pretty much what I think.

If they drop 16GB, it won't be next year.

They could add a color, perhaps. I've wondered why they never did a Product Red iPhone.

Indeed, its a great upsell trick for Apple. I don't think they drop it soon.

Apple will most certainly not drop 16GB. As some others have mentioned before, Apple's biggest profit comes from the 16GB model, as it is their base model.
And as you may have figured, the reason why Apple didn't loose the 16GB and bumped the stock option to 32GB, is to whereas Apple wants you to buy the higher priced 64GB model.

I wish Apple would decrease it's bezels. Most preferably for the Plus, but while they are at it, why not the normal '6s', too?
Probably won't happen as Apple keeps the design of the 4 and the 4s, the 5 and the 5s the same, so the 6s will most likely look alike the 6.

And I wish Apple would use the rendered resolution on the Plus. That'd be 2208 x 1242. Now it is rendering at that and down-scaling to 1080p.

What I want the most is to combine the decreasing bezels, with the 2208 x 1242 pixels in a 6,0" screen format. I don't find the 6 Plus too big, I just want the bezels to be smaller so I'd have more screen estate.
If they do that, they'll end up with a PPI of approximately 422.

It would probably boast the A9 chip, along with the M9 (but heck I know what they could improve on that..). It will most likely sport the tri-cores found from the A8X, but probably at a lower production process and maybe down-clocked a little (for power consumption).

As seen on the iPad Air 2, the 6s will almost certainly boast 2GB of RAM. I haven't had a Air 2 in my hands yet but I have had an Air 1. But the difference in responsiveness and whatnot will be (alot, I pressume) better.

Maybe they'll do this year something about the speaker set-up. The mono speaker on the iPhone 6 is no slouch, but it is mono... really?!
So I suspect stereo speakers.
The earpiece speaker becomes a loudspeaker, and would like to see the ring around TouchID disappear and let it become a ring speaker.
Maybe they can keep the bottom speaker like the current 6, to boast volume or for the extra punch.

They might add wireless charging out of the box, along with a docking station where you can lay it on.

I suspect they will finally change the camera sensor to the Sony IMX240. Meaning 16 MP or the IMX135 meaning 13 MP.
As for the front camera, I think they are going to use a camera similar found on the iPhone 4 with it's 5 MP with updated internals to match that of 2015.

They might include new Beats earphones in the box, however I find that highly unlikely. Apple is currently rocking those stock earphones for a long time for actually almost no additional cost. They'd shoot their selves in their foot if bundling Beats earphones, because they can and will make a huge profit out of those.

More RAM, less bugs. No new features needed.
I would say that even 2GB is barely sufficient for the 6S+ and Apple should be looking at 3-4GB of RAM now. They have stayed on 1GB for far too long and 2GB will seem insufficient in a year or two.

Yeah it is crazy how long 1gb has been going generation wise.
(2) on 128-- OG and 3G
(1) on 256 -- 3GS
(2) on 512 - 4 and 4s
(3) on 1GB - 5 (and 5c, repackaged 5)/5s/6 (and 6+, the collective "6-series")

I'm not convinced that the 16GB model makes Apple the most money on a per device basis. How much does the extra 48GB of storage in the 64GB model cost? I'm guessing the markup is much greater on the storage bumps than on the base 16GB iPhone.

Functionally...

It's probably not possible but I want the new camera to not produce that "Monet effect" on photos. This watercolor effect is most noticeable when the zoom is used, but I've seen it on regular photos taken under fluorescent lightning. That's my biggest beef with the iPhone 6Plus (it also happened on my iPhone 5s). I don't know if the solution is a software or hardware adjustment, but I want them to do whatever it takes to at least clean that up a bit.

I'd also like it to stop randomly (on occasion) freezing and failing to register screen touches or freezing sometimes when I switch from from vertical to horizon viewing perspectives and vice versa.

Feature-wise...

I want what the OP wants, though I'm fine with the glass currently in use. I use a wallet case that protects the screen very well.

I know this is completely unlikely, but I'd like the 6 to get a bump in specs so its screen is as crisp and clear as the one on the Plus. Because I'd like to downsize next time around but I don't want to compromise and lose the incredible detail and sharpness I'm used to on the Plus screen.

Double the current max storage capacity. I take and store a lot of video and photos.

And what the heck...the ability to transform into a TARDIS.

I just don't think that Apple will take an extreme hit on profit from going to 32GB as the base model. Most people buy the 64GB for a hundred dollars more. The U.S. Carriers are fighting the increase in storage because they want their customers to use the cloud to generate more use!

Which carries more into the issue of Streaming. With more and more users turning to streaming their music, the carriers must love this, especially for those on small data plans. Think of the overages the consumers would have to pay.

So while the consumer is using the base model, they (think they) win by keeping their music in the cloud or stream it;

The carriers (think they) win because of the amount of data consumed by consumers accessing their music/data from the cloud/streaming;

Apple wins by selling the low-end model, and following the Sam Walton Walmart philosophy: sell more for less, and make up the difference in the volume of products sold.

Win(?)/Win/Win.

Won't be surprised if beats-branded earpods get bundled into future iOS devices

Would surprise me, as this is an exact copy of what HTC used to do with the One M7. Maybe other models as well, don't have any experience with them.

They didn't come inside the box though (urBeats, 1st gen), you had to register for them on a website and they shipped them to you for free.

That reminds me that HP used to (or still does?) have beats-branded speakers in their laptops.

Then again, there also used to be HP-branded iPods. Weird partnership with Apple back in the day.

T-Mobile Band 12 would be nice, if it will have it I'll wait untilt he fall to upgrade my 5, if it won't might as well upgrade now.
