Even assuming (and past experience with) set up of new devices which means simultaneous downloading of apps, restore of data, sync (iCloud et al), and Spotlight indexing - I've never seen a device actually drain while plugged in to a full power USB port.

My new 6S SG 128GB barely is charging when plugged in doing these tasks with display off, and when being used while these tasks are being done and plugged into a full power USB port actually drains more-than-just-a-bit-slowly-but-not-that-fast (tried many ports on many MacBook Pros, MacBooks, and wall-outlets both AAPL supplied and other up-to-5A rated ones).

Anyone know for sure what the spec is on max charge input and if there's been a change in charge/USB/DC circuitry? I've loaded my device down with workload and use with display at full brightness before and still been able to avoid draining battery while plugged in (e.g. draw from USB powered everything without an issue even if it wasn't charging the battery), so this could just be a new situation where USB draw is not enough, but I more suspect a change in the charging IC or logic.

Anyone else experience this or have HW info (haven't seen anything in teardowns yet).
