So! Picked up my iPhone 6S 64GB today and it appears my screen has a shadow on it. Has this been an issue before, and has anyone else found they have this?

Am I being pedantic? It's quite noticeable when scrolling on a white screen (Calendar, Settings, Notes...). It's only slightly noticeable on non-plain white screens.

I'll probably swap it at an Apple Store. Premium product, should be perfect, etc. etc.

My buddy has the same issue on the same location on the screen. He is a 6s 64 gold. He is heading back to the Apple Store to swap it.

This is the first thing I check for when I get a new iPhone. It's common but I think most people don't mind or don't notice it. I've swapped mine out a few times because of this as it is very annoying when looking at white screens or backgrounds.

If you notice it then it warrants taking it back for an exchange and the sooner you do it the easier.

My Phone is not as bad as this one, but still my upper left corner is noticeably darker than the rest of the screen. I will go to the store again tomorrow to swap it out for another one.

Ah good luck guys! I've been through 7 iPhone 6's! Looks like the 6S has the same problem! I agree the top left looks worse. I'll be waiting and hoping the iPhone 7 has better display QC. This sucks.

Glad I have black bezel

Ok? What does that have to do with anything. Same screen regardless of the bezel. Is he talking about a defect in the bezels? I didn't think so.

To the OP, this should be an easy replacement. Good luck. I just checked mine and don't have this issue.

Did you notice a yellow tint to your milk in your serial this morning?

Try to relax, this place is supposed to be fun.

I'm relaxed trust me enjoying my new 6s plus. I'm just saying what does your post have anything to do with his issue? LOL.

Same exact thing in the same place on my 128GB Silver 6s. The washed out/extra bright smudge area is definitely very noticeable when scrolling through content, especially on predominantly white or lighter-background interfaces.

Worst part is there isn't an Apple store within 2-3 hours of me, and the local AT&T store isn't answering the phone (Apple chat said I have to return through AT&T due to signing up for a new Next plan even though I pre-ordered through Apple's website).

Not the nicest first day experience.

Oh oh, reminds me of a screen issue I had in my old iMac, always regretted not exchanging it.
Thanks for the heads up, hopefully not too many of them are defective :/

My phone had this same problem. 6S Gold, I was able to swap it out at Verizon.

This screen lottery, which I expect every year, is the reason I'm typically hesitant to upgrade. I got book spine shadowing on mine and tempted to just use my 6 and return completely. (Went through 3 i6 due to this shadowing issue)

Well, I just got back from the AT&T store…after making a few calls to corporate, the store manager said they can't take any returns of purchases from the Apple website, even when going the AT&T Next installment route (even though this is exactly what two reps from Apple told me to do).

While still in store, I called Apple support again, and after talking to four different reps/supervisors and having the AT&T manager (he was a real nice guy) talk to one of them, Apple has agreed to send me a replacement.

Not sure what to make of it all or how returns are supposed to go in this situation, but I found it odd that Apple and AT&T at the very least just weren't on the same page.

Now I just have to hope the replacement is perfect so I don't have to waste another couple hours going through that lengthy process again.

I had this on my 6 last year. It bothered me but seemed to go away, only to return once in awhile for a few days. a few months ago a big white dot/hot spot appeared in the middle of the screen and didn't go away at all, and i finally went to swap out. my new one's screen is great.

My 6S Plus, however, seems to have the blue backspin on the left and seems other people are reporting this as well. I know the Airs suffered from this, and my Air 2 has it slightly but not enough to play the screen lottery.

I will return the 6S Plus, still on the fence on whether i get a new one or stick out the 6 for another year. The size of the plus so far has been easy to get used to and the OIS on video will be really hard to give up.

I think my phone has the shadowing but it's not really that noticeable unless I'm actually looking for it at an angle and such. I think I'm just going to stick with my phone.

The only thing I do keep noticing is that the very top of the screen seems to be dark right along the bezel, but that could just be the white iPhone face messing with my eyes :p

I noticed this on the bottom left corner of my 6S+ screen today. Called apple and requested for an express replacement.

It seems that the issue became less of an issue having used the 6S over the weekend. I could still see it at the top but the side issue had disappeared somewhat. I put the phone on highest brightness for most of my use.

However I'm not risking it and have a replacement arriving tomorrow. Last thing I want is to get out of warranty and then it flare up again.
