So far all I've seen is speculation that all 5th gen cases should fit the new model, was wondering if anyone had been able to test for sure.

Interested in getting a LifeProof for my new one, but want to make sure it will actually fit.

I hear they fit but a lot of cases will have that hole for the lanyard button. That may be a deal breaker for some. I say it means steep discounts on dumped inventory.

Manufacturers won't bother releasing another product line just to cover that Lanyard hold on the bottom.

Some might just repackage and add (also suitable with Ipod touch 6) Switcheasy might just added the extra rubber part to cover the edge, Well, most users are rocking it naked anyway.

I got the black 'lifeworks' that fits the iPod touch perfectly. The hole where the loop used to go, now fits the right forefinger on landscape mode. $18 at Wallmarts special on sale rack.
Also helps with the camera lens not sticking out.

If you want to front face to be black, you have no choice but space gray.
AppleCare $59.

I sure hope iOS 9 does something about text editing, moving the cursor around, many features are not available on iPod touch. I also miss some of the 2 & 4 finger gestures. (yeah it's a problem if you got an iPad )
