iPhone 7.0.4 problem!!!!

I have downloaded the 7.0.4 update via ota. Now every time i try to jailbreak i get the evasion icon but i dont get the finished tab on the computer & no cydia app either. ive tried backing up & setting up my phone as new. But nothing seems to work!!! Any suggestions??

This is an issue caused by trying to jailbreak after updating your phone OTA. As a general rule, if this becomes an issue, I don't think there's anything you can do.

Correct ! The evasi0n website has a warning in big red letters that it is not compatible with devices updated via OTA

I was able to jailbreak on iOS 7.0.4, and I have been updating my iOS OTA from 7.0 to 7.0.4. I think I was able to jailbreak because I restored as new through iTunes when I lost my jailbreak back in iOS6. I think it could be an issue if you update OTA on a jailbroken phone. Not sure... but I was able jailbreak fine on 7.0.4 updated OTA.

This is my experience too. If you went iOS 6 -> 7 OTA, it fails. If you went from 7.0 -> 7.0.x it seems to work.

Could you update from iOS6 to iOS7 OTA? If so, I most likely updated to iOS7 OTA. I haven't used iTunes on my wife's computer since I lost my jailbreak on iOS6. I have my own computer, but I've never installed iTunes on it.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking when i got the update. I usually don't do ota updates.

Hmm strange. Must be some other factor causing it. I wonder what the issue is (I don't think they ever actually said what the issue with OTA updates was).
