So everyone has been complaining about Tahoe so far, especially the 7,1 users such as myself. But since these past few updates and ever since I upgraded from the RX 580X to a 6900XT I feel like Tahoe is running extremely well on my 7,1. I do not feel like it is lagging or sluggish, even the animations are finally working well, even on the Beta.

So I am really wondering how everyone else's experience is so far?

Probably won't update till I need to for whatever reason. By then we''ll hopefully be on one of the final releases. I like to stay a least a solid year behind on new OS releases.

Tested it yesterday on a 7,1 which is mostly my music/daw workstation, not on my main Apple drive but on an internal SATA SSD. Although I only run a RX560 (yes, MSI RX 560 AERO ITX, because of native DVI port) it runs really good with my usual Apps, no real difference from Sonoma which is still my main system.
The system itself feels smooth and snappy. 12 Core and 48GB RAM config.

System: Mac Pro 7.1, 1TB original SSD, 96 GB RAM, AMD 6900XT, Radeon 5700 Pro (MPX module)
System 15.7.4 on the 1TB SSD, Tahoe on NVMe SSD (PCIe card)

Updating Tahoe to the latest version somehow altered the internal SSD in a way I couldn’t understand, causing the Mac Pro to no longer boot from it.

All attempts to repair it failed. A fresh installation of macOS 15.x in Recovery Mode would not have been possible without erasing the internal SSD. Unfortunately, I can no longer reproduce the error message that was displayed.

Ultimately, I updated from 15.7.4 to the current version of Tahoe. The system has been running smoothly and without issues so far. The LaCie and WD RAID software had to be updated.

It should be noted, however, that this was not an update to Tahoe that I intended. I did not expect that updating Tahoe on a separate SSD could prevent the computer from booting from the internal SSD...

Avoid brother. It's just not optimized. Perhaps by .7.5 or something. It seems like you're already running it, and you like it so why make the thread? lol

Sequoia runs like butter for me so going to stick with that. This is a work machine, I do media consumption and remote work on MacBook Pro M4 Pro and M1 Max and have latest Tahoe on those and they run fine.
