Delivery Expected 2+ Weeks since Ordering 3:08am EST 9/20

I wanted to share my story about getting 5S 64GB in Gold.

9/20 - 5S Launch Day
Wakeup 2:50am - refresh Apple Store online until 3:01am EST when 5S order page opens up.

3:08am, I successfully order 1 iPhone 5S Gold 32GB and 1 Gold 64GB (which will FINALLY deliver 10/7 and 10/8 - 2+ weeks after ordering 9/20).

3:30am - For my personal line, I didn't order online and took a chance going to lineup at an Apple Store in the mall. Arrived with my friend at 20+ position in line.

7:00am - Apple store employee comes around and announces "There are only 11 iPhone 5S in Gold". WTF. All tickets for Gold 5S get claimed.

8:00am - #5 and #6 guy in line swing by and try to sell (scalp) their reserve tickets for 64GB Gold 5S. I engage in a bidding war with some girls and buy 1 ticket for $250. Purchase the Gold 5S off contract/device only and realize it cost $1150 for me to acquire this phone.

10:00am - decide to sell the 64GB Gold 5S and list it on eBay.

6:00pm - Paypal notification - Someone did buy-it-now for my 5S Gold for $2000+. Confirmed address and %100 positive feedback.

9/21 ship out 5S Gold

Following Week - realize it sucks with no 5S - still using 2 year old 4S.

10/1 - checking Apple website every 30 minutes at work for personal pickup 5S at 3 different zip codes. Nothing. Leave work 6pm.

6:30pm - Driving on highway - not many cars, check website inventory... YES!!$#$@ - 64GB Gold "Available Today" at ONE location. Place order on tiny-ass 4S screen in 5 minutes.

6:40pm - Pickup Ready Confirmation.

7:30pm - Arrive at crowded Apple store and put name with iPad concierge. Waited 25 minutes on queue just to pickup my 5S. All is good. :)

I am in Sacramento, CA... So there must be a break up of the cargo once it reaches Louisville?

So you are one of those guys the rest of the forum has been swearing at?

I understand a couple of things. When Apple releases and iPhone, it's a "ROCK CONCERT" We all, millions of us, get caught up in it. You realized that wow, $1000+ for a phone is insane. So you go to sell it. You put a ridiculous price of $2000 and someone takes it... I mean it could have gone to bid and you would have gotten less, or more, right?

My only question, did you get paid? I know ebay/paypal will hold the funds for a while to make sure the sale goes as planned. What were your fees? Shipping? Net?

Anyway, hopefully you got a free phone in the end.

That is hilarious that you bought a voucher for $250 but then ended up making a tidy profit on the phone anyways :p

And pretty impressive that you managed to snag a 64gb gold in store on Oct 1!

Last location tracked my iphone was
ZhengZhou, China 10/04/2013 5:59 P.M. Arrival Scan
and more than 20 hours here has been no change in location.. anyone else in this problem..
or anyone know anything regarding this??

Same issue. Phone hasn't moved since same time.
Delivery for me is Tuesday end of day. With the weekend, I doubt we'll have an issue.

If you note the "world ease" tag in the details, it helps us clear customs faster :D

I'm feeling your pain bro. No panicking until Sunday night ;)

My Tracking is now showing an Import Scan and a delivery date of Monday.

Not sure what to think, just confused. Saturday or Monday delivery..

Based on the rep I talked to, the shipment has been upgraded to Sat delivery, although we will still see 10/7 delivery displayed on the website (which is what Apple pays for). This is because it was an internal upgrade and the 10/7 display will not change. Better make sure that you don't go camping tomorrow as UPS truck will be there at some point!

Mine has finally made it to the UK now got to wait for it to leave the warehouse!

For those worrying because yours seems to be stuck in one place for a while is just don't think they update it because mine was stuck in Germany for just over a day
Yet this morning it says it departed Germany at 4.05 am and arrived in UK at 4.14 am

I just wish they would deliver it today and not Monday! I'm too inpatient!!

IN TRANSIT: ON TIME

To all receiving their iPhones:
Are you considering doing some level/compass/gyro tests and post your results in the thread on this forum?
Curious to see how are things progressing (or not) with each new manufacturing week...

I have a launch 5S with no gyro issue. Not sure if when it was manufactured matters.

That's my favorite. But it does recess the home button and now you can't use their buttons with the 5s without disabling it. I don't mind the slight recess though. It's well worth it to have a glass surface and know if i put my keys in the wrong pocket I won't scratch the real screen.

Yea totally i like their products but i will pass the glass tr on the 5s.

Will absolutely be checking gyro when I receive my phone Tuesday and report back.

There's a serial # checker that should tell you the right info at http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html

That is the link I've seen mentioned before for info. Let me know what yours spits out.

Checked Apple profile for the serial number for my upcoming Gold 5s coming this Monday. It shows 32gb as the capacity but I ordered a 16gb on that website.
