Hey, all, after upgrading to 7.2, I've noticed that the ECG app seems to be erratic for me. It was working fine before upgrading. Now, the readings are either all over the place and super jumpy and/or inconclusive. I wonder if this has to do with the new algorithm.

Anyone else having this issue?

It’s working fine for me. But yes, I also noticed that in the latest iteration it got more strict, so to speak. You have to sit really relaxed without making any movement, place your wrist on a table (better if it’s on the same line as your heart), make sure the bracelet is well adjusted to your wrist. Then, upon entering the app, you have to press the crown but without moving that hand or finger either (I use my right index finger and have realized that if I move my finger a little, the reading becomes erratic). So basically, you don’t even move that finger until it finishes and you’ll have a normal reading!

Cheers!

It was touchy before when the Series 5 came out. Since my resting heart rate is always in the mid-90s (normal for me) it refuses to bother and always says 'inconclusive' and the whole point of me upgrading to a Series 5 (the fall detection false-positives too) was moot.

My Galaxy Watch did a better job of reading this stuff. Or at least worked for more people.

I have this exact same issue. I have had several inconclusive ecg readings today. However, until yesterday I have had sinus rhythm always (70 readings over 6 months). My memory is a bit blurry as to when exactly my OS 7.2 was updated but it should be in the last 24 - 48 hours - i am frustrated that I cant now go back and find the exact same time and date of the update to verify the correlation.

Not good for a hypochondriac like me - it sent me on a bit of anxiety phase today until i remembered the update. Now I am worrying if the watch is more accurate now than before :) Again, it only shows inconclusive. Also I am on a different region where I think ecg is not approved. Dont know if that had any impact on the readings.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
