7 Plus Matte black available via walk in

i had a pre order for a 7 plus 128 gb matte black att. Delivery date was mid October. I was painfully using a nexus 6p. Decided to check the inventory checking site, and boom!!!! They had inventory galore! So I raced down to the Apple Store like bat out of hell while simultaneously canceling my pre order for 7 plus. Stood in a small line and was out of there in no time.

For those wondering that may be in the same boat. My pre order cancellation instantly reversed att Next upgrade making me instantly re eligible upon cancellation.

Honestly, if you are impatient like me, and have an Apple Store near and your ship date is far I think you are better off canceling and just getting direct from the store. Also, I'm in San Diego.

I'm assuming you ordered a 4.7 iPhone 7 and not the 7 Plus. Because no one has the Plus in stock. My local Apple Store also has plenty of the 4.7 iPhone 7 in stock, on all colors, with the exception of Jet Black.

I was able to reserve a black iPhone 7 Plus this past Sunday morning available for pickup at 11am that same day. Apple gets daily restocks, they just got extremely quick.

I think it's also based on your location. San Diego would be a fairly busy store with inventory being more lucrative then other stores. My 4.7 iPhone 7 Silver arrived on launch day and my Gold 7 Plus is slated for mid October. I can wait it out.

Nope I got a 7 plus 128 gb AT&T, sorry for not including the clarity. I used istocknow to check the inventory throughout the day.

Yeap, that was how I got my two black 7 Plus 128GB for my family last Sat and Sun. Just check on the site and BAM!!! it was available. I made the reservation, picked it up and local Apple store, cancelled the online once I am back home. I asked the Dude at the Apple store.. He said, the Apple local store and online store are using different inventory.

I saw matte black iPhone 7 Plus available in both my local Apple stores this morning. No Jet Black in either the 7 or 7 Plus size though.

There is a bit of delay on iStocknow, understandably. I would suggest that if iStocknow doesnt show any available models in stock, it would not hurt to cross check with the 'iPhone reserve and pickup' URL. It takes a bit of time to replicate the stock availability numbers between the two links. What makes it tricky is, since the phones are in such high demand, and people gobbling them up left, right and center, even if iStocknow shows availability, by the time you reserve on the Apple website, it maybe gone.

I have been checking both like a hawk for the last two days. It happened to me two times. istocknow wouldnt show anything, but my local Apple store had a Matte Black 128Gb Plus in stock. I reserved to pick it up in the evening. Unfortunately there was a huge thunderstrom yesterday at my Reservation time and I couldnt step out of my house and ended up losing the reservation.

I again have been looking since today morning to reserve again and the same thing happened. iStocknow doesnt show Black Plus models at all but 3 stores around me have them. Reserved one again. Hopefully wont lose it today.

Other than Jet Black, there are tons of available iPhones at the Santa Clara Valley Fair mall. If I had a October or November delivery date I would cancel and go to the store.

Black matte not readily available for walkins the past couple of days in my area. They have the Plus at a couple of local Apple stores, just not black matte.
