What is this 70GB of "Other"? It has recently appeared in my iTunes window when connecting my iPad 12.9 256GB model. Meaning I only have 25.71GB free-space, confirmed in Settings on the iPad itself.

But what is all this "Other" stuff? Not Music, Videos, Photos, Docs & Data, or Apps. 70GB of "Other" stuff could only be software, right? Seriously? iPadOS 16.1(20B5064c) is 70GB?

The whole internet is filled with explanations for this. Here is one of those explanations.

And those “other system data” could very well be your music that didn’t synced properly. I encountered this so many times in iOS 9-11 days, often leaving no room for anything else unless I did a factory reset or delete some folders using third party tools.

Not to be a duck, but this is the only reason I bought 512 over 256. Don’t technically need it, but yeah, I avoid this.
