I'm Considering buying a 320GB 7200rpm hitachi 7k320 HDD but I would just like some feedback from any users that have used a similar 7200rpm HDD whether they saw a definite increase in speed and also whether people talking about heat problems are really that big in a whitebook?
I have read previous threads about similar things but i didn't find many of the responses useful, if the Hitachi 7k320 doesn't seem like a good Harddrive then i might consider getting a WD Scorpio Blue 320GB which is £13 cheaper.
Thanks

I just put in a Seagate 7200 drive. The biggest thing I notice from the Hitachi 5400 drive is that the palm rest picks up more of the hard drive vibration.
