It seems that so many people are having trouble figuring this out and I don't know why, so I tried to make it as simple as possible.

Step 1: Use your iPhone to call *639#
Step 2: You will get a message saying that your request is being processed.
Step 3: You will get a text saying when you are qualify for upgrade pricing.
Last Step: If your date is in/before September 2009 than you can buy your iPhone 3Gs at the 199/299 pricing!! If not than try again tomorrow night because AT&T is still updating some eligibility dates for people.

Sadly I am not eligible even though I purchased my 3G on launch day last year, but I am not complaining because I knew I was signing a two year agreement at the time I purchased it.

Okay. My other line (primary) which is a non-iPhone upgrade date says 9/30/2009, so will I be able to use that upgrade tomorrow to get the new iPhone for 199/299

OR

My iPhone line upgrade says 4/30/2010...or will have just have to pay the 399/499 as of now.

I got both of these phones on 8/29/2008.

Couldn't you get the iPhone on your primary line, then transfer it over to the iPhone line and then use your old phone on your primary line again?
