The hairline cracks are still a problem.

Just noticed lots of very small hairline cracks around the buttons/headphone jack on my 3GS, pretty dissapointed in Apple I really thought they would have sorted this out for the new model.

Just thought I'd share this with everyone, I'll be taking a trip back to the o2 store tomorrow.

There too small for pictures, they wont show up but I can promise you they are there. I hope o2 take it back and don't ******** me with the "thats not a big enough problem to warrant an exchange".
 
I have a few on my 32 GB Black 3GS, only right outside the camera. Honestly I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, the only problem I would have is if they slowly got bigger or caused other problems which I'm sure they won't.
 
Glad I haven't upgraded to 3G or 3GS. I'm waiting for the next one until cracking issue is resolved. :cool:

Exactly. The way I see it, these hairline cracks are my ticket to a shiny new phone every three-four months. That's fine with me!!

That's a 50+ minute commute for me just to go to an apple store. What a PITA. AT&T won't swap out the phones?

Yup, that's what I'm doing, too. We don't get the 3GS until the 26th here in Japan, but next week sometime I'm taking my white 3G back, yet again, for a replacement. I figure it's my last chance before the warranty expires, so ...
 
Well not really I mean the phone is black, so it's going to be hard for a camera to pick up. I think you're also missing the point that cracks grow, and don't stay the same.

Then wait a couple months until they grow, and your phone is starting to show some wear and tear anyway, and get it exchanged then for a "brand new" refurb phone.

keyword there SHOULD

everyone knew the 3GS shoudl have matte black, should have front facing camera, SHOULD have MMS. but it didnt. Dont worry about tomorrow, just think about today.
