3.0.1 already on 3gS (rumor)

I call BS, at least if I'm reading it right. It seems to say that the new version will be 3.1 because Apple considers the current version 3.01. That's ridiculous. If Apple considered the current version 3.01, it would be numbered 3.01.
Maybe Apple (or someone else) considers the GM 3.0 and the public 3.0.1, although i dont know why. And the next logical step would be 3.0.1 or 3.0.2 but who knows, maybe they'll jump to 3.1 with a bunch of bug fixes and maybe 1 or 2 new features. It'd be nice but I doubt it

Apple can call updates whatever they want. If the 3GS was running anything but 3.0 it would say so in the settings.

Do people really think Apple just stopped coding for the iPhone after they Gold Mastered 3.0? I am sure 3.0.1 was in early beta within a week of finalizing 3.0. For people that disagree and say they would not of released 3.0 until it was 100%, then heres a newsflash, software can't be 100% until it is in the masses and apple gets feedback. That's why apple asks you to send your diagnostic information to them.

The builds for 3.0 on the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3G S are all the same.... (7A341)
Yes, it is a fact that Apple has 3.1 in beta. Does this mean it is the next software release.... not by a long shot.

I would be shocked if Apple does not release a minor stability update before releasing OS 3.1. 3.0 is stable, as in most things run okay, but there are a few bugs that need to be address, like the icons switching.
Just so you know... 3.0 on the iPhone 3G is different than the 3.0 on the iPhone 3GS. I know this because they addressed one of the UI glitches on the 3GS, but it remains broken on the 3G.
