Mac OS X Snow Leopard Up to date problems

I just got a new macbook pro and i love it. But when I try to qualify for the up to date snow leopard, it says they can't find my serial number. What do i do??

Just checked my applecare status, says my warranty expires april 19, 2010 even though I just got it yesterday. Says I can't get phone support.

Where and who did you buy it from?

I've heard stories of Apple starting the warranty clock when they ship machines to 3rd party resellers and not when the machines are actually sold to customers. So if you bought a closeout older model that has been sitting in the warehouse for 3 months you are screwed.

perhaps contact applecare by mail and include copies of your invoices and explain the problem?

Perhaps Club Mac bought it from Apple and resold it to you.
Apple would see the CM purchase date.

If it's from April, then it's not a "new" one, per se. Or did you just mean "new" as in new to you?

As in I got it yesterday. So new to me. It's one generation old, but not used, and not a refurb.
