Went to one of the local casino's lastnight with a couple of my friends, played a few games here and there, lost a few hundred on stupid punto banco! Kinda ended up being on the Progressive BlackJack table for the better half of the night, betting high and having fun!! Walked away a few hours alter with over four thousand pounds (UK£) win.

Give you an idea, it'a £4,400.00 (GBP) = approx $7,260.73 (USD)

Anyway, anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do with the winnings? I was thinking of chipping it towards a new motorcycle. Perhaps the 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.

If it was you, what would you do or buy?

Give it to me so I can convert my family to a Mac? :p

I think you should get the most expensive Mac you can get.

Exactly what I've done before. Go back and lose it.

Yeah! I did that before too!!
I learnt my lesson about chasing the casino for more money.. Doesn't ever work!! I just end up feeling stupid!!

Hookers and blow.

LOL... Great Idea!

Edit above: Hookers that Blow! :D

I think my gf will kill me!! She'd probably skin me alive!!

Save half, enjoy the other half.

On what?

sv650s and save a crapload on insurance by a factor of greater than 10 than a zx-6r...no joke

Sell your MP, for whatever it's worth, and buy a new one.
Then spend the rest on clothes. Or electronic crap you may not need.

Yeah I thought about it, toyed with the idea of buying their baseline Octo system, then upgrade those processors with a couple if Intel Core i7 975 3.33Ghz (Nehalem) Extremes and maxing the ram but in all honesty, my current system is more than adequate for everything I do right now.

dump it into a roth or something wouldnt be a bad idea

A roth?

ira for retirement and have that thing compound for 40 years

Oh retirement fund :)... Umm.. Nah, I'm already paying into a private pension at an stable monthly rate. Besides, I don't plan to retire in the UK! It's not the place my heart calls home, so to speak... it's a great place to live, work and sort of have fun!! But I love Japan much much much more!!

Well, if you're interested in buying a house or apartment in Japan, you're going to need a lot of money saved.
You sound like you're really young, especially considering that you put your trust in a private pension. Personally, I believe in contingency plans. Never know when the fund might go thermonuclear.

Hehe, thanks for saying I sound young:) I'm actually older than you'd think.

Yeah.. That could happen but only fools don't save money for a rainy day and I'd like to think I ain't a fool ;) Right now, I'm ain't worried about much as my European assets are mortgage free, i have zero debts. Near enough all my income are saved for a rainy day going towards a nice nest egg. However, I should really cut down on staying in luxury class business hotels, they're ain't cheap!!

Ain't sure about how much you know about Japan but not everything there is out of reach.. unless your planing on living in the heart of Tokyo. Personally I'd prefer a home away from huge metropolitan cities.

Like Yahaba? I almost went there this summer; canceled because of the Swine Flu.

I was in Japan during all the swine flu break out... honestly don't know why so many other people worried about it, it was pretty much nothing and only concerned those in high schools/universities. Most of the cases happened within Kansai.

I've never been there. I was thinking more alongs the lines of Shikoku, Kyushu or perhaps western Hokkaido.

Yeah, I was pretty mad about not being able to go. It's my city's "sister", so our school was going to take a group of 12 if we raised somewhere around $5000.
I know you don't care. Sorry. :p
