I doubt it will be any different. Anyone who's getting SL thru UTD has a Mac w/ Leopard on it so why would Apple need further confirmation of that?

Yeah true, would sure be nice to have a full SL copy for when I want to pass my current mac over and perform a full format.

Traditionally the Up-To-Date disks have checked for a previous installation of the previous OS before allowing you to install. No idea if they'll do that again, but they have been different from the retail disks in the past.
